Dosage One tablet to be taken four to five times a day as directed by your doctor. Strictly stick to your doctor?s prescription as the dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. It should be swallowed whole with plenty of fluids with or without food. Side effects The most common side effects of acyclovir 200mg are nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. If vomiting occurs within two hours of taking the medication, another tablet should be taken.
