Lonitab contains Minoxidil which belongs to the group of medicines called Vasodilators. It is an orally effective direct acting peripheral vasodilator that reduces elevated systolic and diastolic blood pressure by decreasing peripheral vascular resistance. Minoxidil is also used topically to treat androgenetic alopecia.

INDICATION
Lonitab is indicated:
For the treatment of severe hypertension(high blood pressure).
DOSAGE
Take LONITAB 5MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not stop taking LONITAB 5MG TABLET unless your doctor advises you to stop.
It should be used with caution in children and elderly patients.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
The medication should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless advised by the doctor.
SIDE EFFECTS
increased heart rate, inflammation of the lining that surrounds the heart, increased hair growth and hair colour changes
